Medical cures for snoring
If their own efforts to stop snoring do not help, consult your doctor or an otolaryngologist (ear, nose and throat, also known as ENT). If you decide to try a dental appliance for snoring, you will need to see a dentist who specializes in these devices.
CPAP (CPAP). To keep the airway open during sleep, a machine at its head blows pressurized air into a mask that you wear over your nose or face.
Braces, oral appliances, and the lower-jaw positioners often mouthguard resemble an athlete. They help open the airways bringing his jaw or tongue forward during sleep.
Traditional surgery as Uvulopalatopharyngoplasty (UPP), thermal ablation Palatoplasty (TAP), tonsillectomy and adenoidectomy, increase the size of the airway by surgically removing tissues or correcting abnormalities. Pillar procedure is also an effective surgery in which small plastic implants are inserted into the soft palate. Scar tissue grows around the implants, the rigidity of the soft palate, which stops the vibrations which cause the snoring.
New developments. Uvulopalatoplasty assisted laser (LAUP) and Somnoplasty remove portions of the soft palate to reduce snoring laser or radio frequency signals. These newer remedies may require further study.

Snoring can sometimes be a warning sign of a more serious problem. A doctor should evaluate a snorer for any underlying medical condition, other sleep disorders such as sleep apnea, or any breathing problems related to sleep. You snore loudly and strongly and are tired during the day.
You stop breathing, wheezing, or choking during sleep.
He falls asleep at inappropriate times, such as during a conversation or a meal.
To rule out a more serious problem, the doctor may refer you to a sleep specialist for a sleep test at home using a laptop monitor or petition to spend the night in a sleep clinic. If these sleep studies conclude that snoring is not related to any sleep or breathing disorders, can discuss different treatment options to stop snoring.
